In a cyber sex chat room, why do some people want a phone number and/or email address to confirm? Is that a new thing? What for? Seems too personal to me. Isn't cyber sex supposed to be anonymous?

Why are they asking for your Phone no. they want a valid e=mail to make sure you are over 18 but they should not be asking for a phone no. there is something wrong there.
