How does one get help with obsession?

I am bipolar, and I've recently been put on medication and have been going to therapy for issues with PTSD and anxiety, but I'm still having really bad problems with obsession.

I'm pretty much fixated on a certain person from my past and I've been obsessing over them for about 10 years now. We were never lovers, but we did go through a lot together back when we were close friends. I can't get over them, and I think about them constantly and to be honest I've picked up some stalker-ish tendencies over the past few years that I'm not proud of.

My therapist is aware of all this, and while they've been great with helping me overcome some of my other issues, I don't feel I've received adequate help with this particular subject...

So I'm wondering how does one get proper help for getting over deep obsession? Is there a certain type of therapist I should go to, or how should I put it out there that I really desperately need help in overcoming this?

I don't want this to continue because I feel it's wrong, and it has affected many of my relationships and was even the reason why two of them ended.
