A gross invasion of privacy although I can see it's uses in locating missing persons or somebody in an emergency such as a kidnapping but the frightening thing is governments and police forces can now track where anybody is 24/7.

Actually a gag site, not an actual tracking site. I tracked my own phone for reference.

No its not a gag site and don't be misleading the members that way. Didn't you observe how that satellite based, precision ground survailance device brought your own spouse into view before your very eyes? Can you imagine what our government will do with that kind of power?

I'm wrapping my cell phone in aluminum foil today to shield me from that kind of tracking and invasion of privacy. In fact I believe I'll buy a remote antenna that I can drag behind my vehicle to throw the FEDS of my trail. Not to worry. I found just such an antenna in the attic on top of an old broken black and white television set. Whew! Glad to be on top of a crisis for a change.

tried it on my boyfriend, and I found it surprisingly accurate

right now I'm just astonished how well it works, I'll think about the implications a device like this has on a persons privacy at a later time

Pretty damned amazing thoough isn't it.. The concept baffles the mind.

I thought about how I would handle putting something like this in my child so in case the unthinkable happened we would have her in minutes from the abduction. But then you would just have to have it removed at some point. It is just uncool knowing someones every move at any given moment. But boy I could really see the blessing should it be in a child and they were taken. In minutes ... likely in time to save most of their lil lives too. In todays world not a day goes by I don't think about what if.. I would be a basketc ase if I could not trust God to take care of her in my absence.

One thing to keep in mind about this GPS thing is that your cell phone has settings that control its use. I'm looking at my phone right now and it's set to limit the uploading of location information to when I am making a 911 call. That is the only time my phone sends my location information. Since it is controlled by the phone, no one can override it.

If you're looking for that setting on your phone, it should be in the Network settings.
