Thanks Bigbob, I am okay though it still rains. Think I should consider building an ark where only masturbators can go in two by two.

Our area in the South East is okay, with few exceptions but the Midlands and West have been very badly hit. Thanks for your kind words.

Thanks for your kind concern BigBob.
I'm in East Anglia and thankfully this area only had a few isolated incidents of flooding but you wouldn't believe the amount of rain we've had.
Last summer was long, hot and dry but this year exactly the opposite. So much for global warming! :?

I hope everythings okay on the other side of the big pond?

I'm in Yorkshire and we've had our fair share of rain but not really seen much flooding. Gorgeous day today and forecast is good for most of the week, I believe...

Yup, we actually need some more rain, it's been kind of dry. Just been having the quick thunderstorms in the afternoon, nothing like what you guys and gals had over there.

Well blokes here in Texashire we've been consulting the good book for ark plans. (so far no luck on that one)

We've been having what I call "toad drowning" rains.

The little burg of Marble Falls, Texas got 17 inches of rain in 24 hours. 6 inches of that fell in a little less than 4 hours. The town was a wreck with flotsam and jetsum strewn in the city streets with trees and branches thrown in for good measure.

They say "everythings bigger in Texas" unfortunately that saying is ringing a little too true for my tastes.

Perhaps this is not the best time to discuss how nice the weather is in so. calif.

For those of you with bad weather, take care and I hope things get better soon.

Yeah, even more rain last night. Gonna have to break out the SCUBA gear soon, methinks! As far as the Ark goes, Savannah, maybe we can collect all of MF's plastic bottles now littering the sides of the roads, lash them together and make a 100% recycled boat! On the plus side, I haven't had to shell out an exorbitant amount of money for a high water bill since I've yet to turn my lawn sprinklers on this year, though I do have to mow every week. So far, all the bridges are holding out, though, so a little moment of silence for our friends in Minnesota. And welcome back, Sav!

It just so happens I was in California this week. It was 114 degrees in Palm Springs. Please know that it is a dry heat and that makes it oh so much more tolerable. (BS) The wind was blowing 20 to 30 mph and I was amazed the whole place didn't just spontanously ignite. Now that would have been a scene. Raging walls of flame being spewed high into the air by the obscene number of grotesque, electricity producing wind mills. :?:

Yeah.. used to live in that area, too. I think it's safe to say that once you hit triple digits, it doesn't matter what % humidity is, it's just fucking hot! But on the bright side, if there was enough of a breeze to spin those 60 foot propellers, then at the very least there was some turn-over of the ambient air down in the valley. I think when it's like 99.9% humidity as it often is here in Houston, the air is just so freaking heavy that it doesn't move at all... but then again, I'm preaching to the choir with you... you've been in both environments with only hour of plane ride in between. And you'll be happy to know that west Texas has MUCH larger wind-produced energy plants than SoCal - entire mesas covered with those white windmills... kinda cool.
