Actually that assumption can cause some issues. There are some lotions that are safe for a baby, but not for your genitals, always make sure to read the directions on whatever you are planning to try as a lube

Of all the places this is one that you definitely want to be safe, rather than sorry.

Like the guys have said "its safe alright". My question to you is; why use baby oil when so many other superior products are on the market for that specific useage? Baby oil is a compromise at best and a poor substitute at worst for some really "slick" products. (lol) The before mentioned KY seems to work nicely and astroglide or one of its bargain priced knockoffs from Walgreens or CVS pharmacies has worked spectacularily on the occassions I have had to put it to use. Meaning I had no complaints what so ever from the recipient of that product utilization. Of course I sincerely believe that person would say little or nothing if I provided the same service to him with vaseline filled with sand or maybe even valve grinding compound.

Since you're a guy (it seems), it's perfectly safe, and probably would help. Your hand might slip off or something, but baby oil is good for the skin. It might make your penis softer in the long run. If anything, that's a reason for the baby oil.
