Do you get more sensation that way? What do you use as lube?

I occassionally do it dry, but it's very rare nowadays and has been for years. Wet and slippery for me. I have one word of advice for you: experiment!

Try various lubricants. Look in the drugstore section of any large grocery store and you'll find a large selection of lotions and salves. Buy a couple of the inexpensive lubes.

Start stroking dry as you usually do, and continue until you're getting pretty close to cumming. Now put a little of one of your lubes on the head - - don't wrap your hand around your cock and stroke - - just use your finger-tips and explore your shaft and head - - looking for the sensitive spots and learning how to exploit those spots - - try not to cum as you explore - - stop for a moment or two if you get too close - - enjoy the process!
