Thats a hard one to answer, I've never realy had a masturbation conversation with close friends. Most guys under 30 wont admit to it, but guys my age that are married will tend
to say yeah, but I'd never come out and ask, for fear of being labeled. Im sure women are
the same. I think its gonna just have to happen, if one girl starts touching herself, then others might join in.

I'm lucky in that the group I hang out with is very open. Most of the girls have their own toy collection...one has a small steamer trunk full...lol

If anyone were to ask me I would be totally honest with them. I'm completely true to myself, but I can understand your not wanting to say anything in front of the girls. Have you thought about taking the girl who asked if anyone masturbates to the side and finding out why she brought it up?

I agree with lubed. next time you are talking to the one who asked, mention that you masturbate. I think everybody's tried it at least once. You don't have to ask in front of all your friends,Go with your gut feelings and ask her. tell her that you've tried it and found it to be quite enjoyable.

in fact, i'd be willing to bet that the girl who asked the question definitely masturbates herself, in addition to a few (or all) of the other girls. if you talk to her privately, and she says yes, just ask her what techniques she uses. just discussing this "taboo" (lol, not really, though perhaps in this group of girls it is) topic might persuade her to demonstrate for you, and vice versa.

like lubed, i have a group of very open friends, guys and girls, who openly discuss masturbation. we usually don't go into details since we're friends, but both guys, girls and myself openly admit to masturbating. i mean seriously, most guys masturbate, so it's pretty much a given...even in a relationship.

i have masturbated with some of my friends in the past, which was always prompted by discussing the topic...and then helped along by watching porn.

your friend might not want to look at porn, but you could ask her if she ever does in order to get her in the mood to masturbate.

So, since the friend brought it up, wouldn't it be the best approach to just casually say. when you/she was alone with her, "Hey, that was totally out of the blue the other night, but do you want to talk about it?" She might really want to have someone she can be open, honest, and commfortable with...and, if she doesn't, she will change the topic, and there's the answer. 'Course, I have never been good at these things; that's my 2 cents.

Thought you could use a female point of view, luv . . . but I totally agree with everyone here. I'm sure if you broached the subject with her, asked her opinion on it, that she would open up to you.
