i would like to offer a reply to the last two posts:

while i am no sexuality researcher, it does seem to me that men are much more open about discussing sexuality/masturbation, and also more stimulated VISUALLY than women...but of course this is a generality, and i don't want to gender stereotype. but, i think this accounts for the imbalance in female to male participants on the forum...this could change of course (as i have a good female friend who openly talks about masturbation with me), but societal norms seem to indicate otherwise (i.e., my wife would never talk about masturbation with a guy friend).
