hello guys, thought id post up on here, you lot will know before my best friends do so count yourself lucky. i missed my period a few days ago so i thought i would go and get a test done, i didnt worry too much at first as i dont believe in contraception and sometimes my periods are a bit late. i tested positive, 3 weeks gone now, what do people think i should do? it was a 1 night stand which makes it worse for me....

You have time to make a decision which I am sure will be the right one for YOU...a lot of factors enter in here, your age, ability to care for a child, raising a child without a father around, support from your family, your religious beliefs, how YOU feel about having a baby, future relationships, finances, jobs and who will look after the baby if you decide to keep it. Unfortunately, the final decision comes down to you, it is your life and no one else can live it for you...but if you have the kind of family that can support you they probably need to be involved at this critical time. And please, please, reconsider your position on contraception...as you can see, your decision not to use it affects more than just yourself....without getting mushy here, I hope for the very best for you...

You cant go around being risky like that. Now youve got a risky decision to face. I would abort it possibly but I cant really say. Its on you. The riskiness is in the abortion or the pregnancy. It all comes down to if you dont mind seeing the one night stand in your child while he or she is growing up or if you want the fact that you couldve had a child lingering around. Who knows. But I do know that you can start over if you dont have the child. It depends on your age and your goals. You would have to fit the child in your goals since the preganancy has happened. But you should never just let people go cumming in you. Thats a priviledge for the person you want to be the father of you child regardless of how it comes out. It you unsure be protected. As for your decision goes I know its hard. you will be affected with either one. If you dont have the baby then you could have a chance with someone who cares for you and might want you since guys mostly dont want someone already with kids. But if you find a guy that doesnt mind kids thats find too. Your goals may be fullfiled easier if you dont but your overall happiness my be there if you do the baby. Either way its up to you.

You should have some form of contraception. Thats what makes us different from our parents is that we have our own minds and we are our on person. You can actually help yourself and your parents with contraception. One you wont be a careless the next time around and have kids want to have them. And two your parents wont have to be helping you out with taking care of them or giving you money for them when you could be saving money for yourself and have a good time. Each kid means you lessen your on activities because its no longer about you and it affects others.

I have to agree...the sensitivity of some of these posts is not only overwhelming, but unbelieveable. I guess that is what separates the guys from the gals. The guys can enjoy the one night stand and walk away and probably not even know that they have fathered a child. The girls, no matter how irresponsible we think their behavior has been have to live with the results one way or another for the rest of their lives..I'm sure that this young woman hasn't been having a good joke about the matter...it is a major decision in her life...she came to us first with this, and jokes were made about it...I am rather ashamed.

I have to agree. Why are most of you making jokes about this. There is nothing funny about it. She comes to us for adivce and you make jokes. Now I know if I ever have a true matter and need advice to not come on here or atleast PM the people who respond respectfully.


As for me I am agains abortion. But it is your choice and only you can make the decision in the end.

Putting aside my personal beliefs on this issue I agree that it is really only you that can decide what is best for you. Take a little time and really figure out what is the healthiest thing for you to do. I hope you have some friends and family that you can use to work thru this. As a guy I'll never know what you are going thru so I won't try to give to much advice. I've seen a number of friends go thru this situation and just try to be the best listener I can. As a guy I feel rather embarrassed. There's definitely a time and a place for everything.

I never lied and I know the lady has to be responsible one way or the other but its important she keeps her head focused as well. By the time you are pregnant you cant really say I was irresponsible but its what you do from then on. You should still have a life and not give up on your dreams. Cant let your lifestyle totally change. That is serious.
