I have tried several "toys" over the years. My experience is that while they are good for an occasional thrill, I always wind up going back to using my hand. The only consistent "enhancement" that I have always loved having (more than just porn) is another person to do it with, either in person or on the phone.

That said, everyone is different and I certainly think experimentation is a good thing. I would say if something looks exciting to you go ahead and try it, as long as it's safe. If you're using something you're going to cum into, you might consider using a condom to keep it clean.

I would say that a sex toy is a fine investment. I agree with the vibration aspect. I had a sex toy that was a ribbed silicon sleeve.
