As with most questions like this, its situational. I think if, my doctor for instance, asked me when checking my prostate or discussing urinary problems, then sure I'd give him the full truth. If we're talking about something unrelated, then I highly doubt it. Same with the psychiatrist.

I dont even know how telling a stranger in an elevator would even come up..... but if it was a long discussion (something I doubt would happen in a normal elevator ride) I might be inclined to admit it. I'm certainly not going to bring it up as a topic of discussion in a short talk nor can I imagine anyone else doing it....or me reacting favorably to anyone who did so.

I dont have a brother and I cant imagine the topic coming up with any of the rest of my family members.
