Maybe someone out there can answer this question for me, or have similar experiences. I can get a erection with no problem. When I masturbate or when I receive a handjob it gets hard as a rock. When I get head it gets so hard you couldn't turn it with a Sears wrench. When I have intercourse it starts out hard but will eventually start getting soft. It feels great but for some reason it (meaning my dick) starts going soft. Ticks me off! Therefore me and the wife have a lot of oral sex. Don't get me wrong this is the best but intercourse is missed because of it.

I am 53 and I know age has something to do with it, but why does it happen only with intercourse? Anyone with an opinion or experience with this?

I listen to Dan Savage's podcast and he often warns against masturbating with a "death grip" because you could be desensitizing your cock. His advice would be to use lube and a light grip, and mix up your techniques so that your cock doesn't get trained to respond to only one thing. of course if you're having no trouble keeping it up during head, then maybe that's not your problem.
